This is pretty much what I planed to do for a bike rack.


You could also bolt on some channel to an existing roof rack and strap it down. Gary aka Mean Machine did exactly that on his bus to hold two bikes. Gary do you have any pictures of that set up?

I have also set mine on the roof rack and strapped it down and it worked just fine.

this is the short version of the stretch bike I have. I don't think I will be able to get it on my new oval, it barely fit on my squareback rack but I'm going to try

I still have this decklid rack hanging around, it's actually for a convertible but since it seems to be the only one anybody has seen that will work on a vert, I'm keeping it. only problem is that the bike is longer than the car is wide... maybe a roof rack for the front wheel and the back end sitting on this?

Man that Yel-Low bug is soooo good looking. makes me want to build a type 1 soooo bad
