Hey Bill,

If the weather is decent we may head over there in the Bus...but I am not eating at Dennys, that sandwich last time was pretty bad!

It is located at 10930 Lakeline Mall Dr. on the East side of 183 (Northbound), just one block North of 620. 5pm-8:30pm

I probably won't be making it this Saturday, as May 19 will be our 22nd wedding anniversary. Unless Kimberly wants to go, of course. Should we dine at Bennigan's for our anniversary? Obviously not at Denny's, due to Gary's critical review:eek:

You could always go have a Monte Cristo sandwich at Bennigan's. There's nothing like a battered, deep fried sandwich, with raspberry preserves for dipping. :)

Congratulations on 22 years!

I just got this email from Double K Productions

"YES CANCELLED! Effective Immediately. We have pulled the plug on the
Sat. Cruise Night at Denny's/Bennigans. We are not at liberty at this
time to discuss the details, nor would it be prudent to do so. Suffice
to say, we will not be spending our time or money at these locations.

We are in the process of setting up another location for the summer and
hope to announce details soon.

Thank you,
Kerry & Lavine
Double K Productions"

Cancelled, eh.
Suffice
to say, we will not be spending our time or money at these locations.

I may be reading between the lines, but the sound of this statement makes it seem like they had a bit of a disagreement with the Bennigan's/Denny's management. Oh well, no Monte Cristo sandwich for me.

Wow, that's a bummer, my guess is probably Denny's bad sandwiches were the deal breaker...and I was looking so fwd to trying a Monte Cristo!
Now where do we go???
we're a homeless car showers....

They still have the show at 620 and I-35.

How has the turnout at that one been? The one I went to didn't have many cars. Of course, the weather wasn't that great that day. It was really windy and cold outside. There were mostly muscle cars also. If there are more people going to that one it would be cool to check it out again.

We may cruise up to the 620/I-35 show Saturday nite, but we'll be stopping off at Bennigans 1st for a Monte Cristo!

I live not far from there off of Sam Bass Rd. so I was planning to be at that show this Saturday. I just signed up on this site last week so I'm brand new to this crew. Don't even have a sticker yet to put on the car. :(

In case you are interested I'm a tall guy driving a red '02 Turbo Beetle.

Please folks, come if you can and introduce yourselves since I won't know you from Adam. I would really love to meet you guys.

Freet,
Welcome to the Gang! We sometimes head up to the 620/I-35 show on Saturday nites, but we'll miss the next few weeks. Jake and I cruised by this past Saturday in Westy and didn't see any other VW's, plus we were on our way to freebirds so we didn't stop.
But we will soon.
COme on down to the next AAC gathering in September for sure!
