Cruise to the Monument show Sunday AM

We were talking about this at the anti on Saturday. It would be cool if HAC could all roll into the show thgether and park together. Suggestions for meeting locations? I'm on the SW side of town, so I would rather meet somewhere here in town, maybe on 45 somewhere?

I just called them and they open at 6am, so we're good to go. We will leave Kelley's at around 8:30 or so, so if you don't want to hang with us and have breakfast be sure to be there a little before 8:30 so you can join us for the cruise. Be there or be square :D


Please post below and let us know if you are in or not so we won't miss anybody if they are running a few minutes late or whatever.

Here's one cruise..

The North Houston VW Club is sponsoring a cruise to to the Bay Area Club's San Jacinto State Park Show, on May 20th 2007 . We will be leaving from the IHOP restaurant at Interstate 45 and Cross Timbers (one exit north of Loop 610 North). We will plan to leave at 8:30 AM , in order to make it in time for early registration (which starts at 9:00 AM ).

If you wish to have breakfast at IHOP, prior to the cruise, it is advisable that you try to arrive around 7:30 AM . This will give you enough time to eat, pay your check and, line up for the cruise. Due to construction at the IHOP location, we will be lining up at the east side of the building, in the Magic Johnson Theater parking lot.

The cruise is approximately 30 miles from the meeting place and takes about 35 minutes with a 50-55 mph driving speed. If you can not get to IHOP in time, consider joining up with us, along the way. Also, please invite any of your acquaintances that drive VW's and ask them to join us, as well. We look forward to seeing everyone on the cruise.

From there its just a few miles to 225 the La Port Fwy. You guys on the north side could meet up there somewhere and we will all converge on that Denny's then leave en mass for the show from there after some greazy breakfest. Sound like a plan? Maybe we could meet there at 730 and try to leave by 830? This is just a suggestion, let me know what you all think :)

Somebody just needs to make a decision. We are like a bunch of old ladies are we meeting here or are we meeting their??? Where is it going to be??? Lets just pick somewhere and stick with it that way nobody gets confused. I don't mean to sound like an "A" Hole but I get confused very easy. Hey Brian I got my "Y" pipe back from the welder today. It really looks good, I am going with the crome over the powder coat. But the thing is that would take longer than I want. So I am just going to paint it for now and when I get my car painted I am going to take my motor apart and crome everything.

lol, yeah, as Bobby said, welcome to HAC. Everything we do is like this :D
But don't sweat it bro, a decision will be made soon and there will be no confusion what so ever. ;)

But see, in the grand scheem of things its better to get as much input as possible, sometimes somebody has a suggestion for a place no one else knows of and it turn out to be great. You just have to be a little patient with us sometimes... :)

No, he's still working on his house, and hasn't had much time for playin'.

I spoke to Preston today and told him everyone is expecting him there; had to put the pressure on him. His engine kinda overheats and will only top out somewhere at 50 mphs. He actual told me 45 mph. He will eventually get my 1835 since he just picked up a FREE SET OF WEBER 40 IDF'S (I hate this guy & I owe him some cash)! LOL I'll get his old engine and rebuild it so I'll have something to putt around in. It'll end up being a 1641, with an Engle 110 cam, and dual Weber 34 ICT's; I might stick the single 44idf on it?

Oh, he is also getting a free back up camera and LCD monitor/mirror out of a client's corvette. Did I say I hate him?
