Need Rear Axle.

Anyone know where I can buy a new rear axle for a '64 Type I?
I've looked online for about an hour now, and can't seem to find anywhere that sells the axle.

I've got a new pair of axles for sale. Let me measure them today and I'll get with you. I'm postive they're short axles.

Well crap I measured the axles this afternoon and they are 27 11/16 which these are '67 axles. Sorry these want work.

Short axles ( 66 & down ) 26 11/16

Mid axles ( '67 only ) 27 11/16

Long Axles ( '68 only Type 1 & 3 ) 28 7/16

I'm also needing the fulcrum plates and the retaining washer.
The axle I took out looked like it had sat dry for an extreme amount of time. there were old rust pits that ground into the plates and axle about 1/16"
Not even Empi carries the fulcrum plates.

You might wabt to call Udo Johnson is Temple. He built my race tranny and other guys I've sent to him. He might have those plates for you cheaper than buying them from a VW shop. Get with me if you want his number.
