Well I was an All-State Softball Player, but I guess that is not very hidden anymore

I am very crafty -- I make blankets and scrapbooks and can make almost anything craft-like given instructions.

Sorry ... that is not all that exciting for guys to read :p

I like to write.

Hey Biz, my wife played softball for years. She went to the nationals in 1980 as a left fielder.

SAAC's first meeting was in August of 2003. So, if you joined the gang right away, you would know everyone 4 years in August. And we have only done 2 BWC shows. Where's our elected Historian when we need them. GOSH

SO, that means that next August (2008) will be our 5 year BASH!! Count me in to plan that!!!

Thanks for clearing that up......It just feels like I've known Mark longer :p

I came in about 5 or 6 months later I think it was in the Fall......:o

A "history of the SAAC" thread (sticky) wouldn't be bad idea? so we can remember this stuff.

Lol!

Stfu. :D

I bought Little Red 3 years this May...and I "joined" VOSA first (yes, that's true) and followed a link to SAAC, where I've remained faithful and true.

So, for me, it's been right at 3 years.

Mark, you've made it more SAAC meetings than most and you live way the hell out in BF Seguin!
RIGHT ON, Mark!

I think I started going to SAAC meetings on like the second or third ever meeting....after already being a VOSA member.
The way I see it is we're all VW freaks in the same vicinity.
I don't play the us and them game....unless there's watercoolers involved.:p

I won't be at the Friday meeting, cuz I have some stuff to get ready on the Bug for Fred.

I couldn't agree with this more.

I won't be at the Friday meeting, 'cuz we'll be having a "special gang meeting" in Fredericksburg. :D

I remember when Mark got his bug.......I just got "rolled in", soooo must be about the same time as Mark.

I never joined VOSA and sold-out :p
Yeah, I said it.....what? :D :D

I have a short attention span, there's beer at SAAC meetings, and..... I already have a bunch of SAAC t-shirts.
I don't pay dues, and I won't make VOSA meetings....so I never joined.
Hell, I can barely make some of the SAAC meetings (shut up Mark).
It really doesn't matter to me, you're all my friends.......BUT, I'm still gonna give you guys a hard time and kid with ya :D

Maybe I'll swing by a VOSA meeting and say hi.......that is, if its not too early in the day :o ......... :p
Seriously, Have fun, enjoy your vw, and most of all.......enjoy the friendships we've made through the years.

So were all 3 BWC shows held at Biff Buzby's? I'm trying to remember when I joined this gang???? I remember bringin' the green convertible to a show at the Biff Buzby's and that Biz called it the "Hitler Mobile" or something.... Not funny:mad: :D ....and after several years of therapy I've recovered (barely). Was that the first BWC??? The T-shirt was white with a black vertical stripe on the front and some white-out over Pierce's address. ??? Help a brother out with some memory issues. Yo nephew....what year was that????

Oh yeah.....and for the record the "James" in the above post is NOT me!

Oh yeah.....and for the record the "James" in the above post is NOT me!Yes all three shows were at Biff's.
That shirt is from the first year, the 2nd year was that ugly yellow shirt and last years was red. I thought I was losing my memory but it's the short term memory that's gone...I seem to remember everything a year later...

For the record... I said it looked like Hitlers car and that was at the 2004 Texas VW Classic, before I even knew you existed in San Antonio and in the Aircoolers.... Sometimes you say things out loud that you shouldn't, and then others decide to repeat the phrase on your behalf. I didn't think anything of it until now, 3 years later.

Sorry I scarred you ;)

Besides Zozo gives me some little pills when I get stressed. I take 'em and go to the "happy place" He says they're not habit forming too! He calls them "pirin" tablets......I just don't know what I would do without my pirin.
