You did it, you took the plunge and joined a crazy group of people that love VW's just as much as you do. So what are some things to know that would help you out?
So, I'm posting this here to help you, the new guy or girl figure out how have a great time hanging out here. I'm hoping that fellow members will join in and help add some more tips!
First off, one of my pet peeves is not knowing where someone's from.
When you first registered you had the opportunity to go ahead and add some information about you... your profile. But if you're like me, you were trying to go ahead and start posting... You'll get to that later....
So let's do that...
In the blue bar at the top of the screen, there are some links to help you navigate this site. Click on the User CP link.
From there, you can add that information you neglected to before.
Check out the links to the left of your screen to personalize your space here at the aircoolers mecca.!
The main reason It bugs me so much when people don't update the info is that when somebody posts asking for help, or saying they need a part... It's even more difficult for me to determine if I can help or not.
For example: it's not going to make much sense for me to respond to a post for someone asking if I have a brake drum for a beetle only to find out that they're in california, and it would be much cheaper for them to buy it new than it would for me to ship it... understandable?
