I went to the Train Tracks today on the southside. We got there and couldn't figure out how to do it. We finally asked a car that we saw do it and they told us where the car should be. It's pretty creepy! There were a lot of cars there too!

Before that we were at the Aqua Ducts? This guy said there was this place where these witches would meet and make animal sacrafices and stuff in some house/shed? So we went out there tonight but couldn't find it. Pretty creepy walking around the woods at night though!

The train tracks were pretty cool though.

no I didn't have any on me. I thought about it when we were there though. Still pretty freaky without it though.

I drove my '65 down there full of kids in high school. The creepier thing for me was the names of all the streets in that neighborhood, named for the children that died in that school bus.

Sorry to ressurect an old thread fellers.....but I've got the 411 on this legend.

This site is at the corner of Shane Road and Villamain Road. There's a Union Pacific RR crossing about 15' from the corner. Local legend is that a horrific train and bus accident killed like 30 school kids at this crossing....sometime in the past. Legend has it that when you place your car on the tracks...the ghosts will push you off the tracks to safety.

You don't need Mythbusters to solve this one....the gradient at the crossing is about 4%....looks level but is not. Gravity pushes your car off the tracks.

As to the fingerprints....this is funny.....when you powder the trunk and bump over the tracks the powder falls off the trunk except where YOU touched it to close the lid!!!! Those are YOUR greasy fingerprints holding the powder. (not the ghosties)

KSAT 12 did a hard-hitting expose on this legend and totally disproved it about 8 years ago!!!! Still the legend persists.

Oh....and how about the street names in that neighborhood? Shane road, Richie Otis, etc? Those were the names of the developers kids.... that is the McCreless family!!!

Oh yeah.......and ALL the neighbors HATE that ghost track crap. Some nights they can't even get home for all the knuckleheads parking around there and blocking the street! Plus they drag race down Villamain and a kid recently died there (he was riding on the hood of a car that crashed). Pretty bad scene in general.

Sorry....gang, but that's the truth.:D

Next you're going to tell us there's no such thing as the Easter Bunny, Santa Clause, or a non-militant lesbian. :o
