'78 Vert resto

I am currently working on my '78 super beetle. If the weather cooperates I should be completed within the next few weeks. I love the whole transition. It's taken me 2 years to get to this point where I could afford it and had time to work on it - - i am so excited. :)

I am going back with the same color because this car was one of the Champagne Edition IIs. (kind of a reddish brown like a rust metallic) I want to keep it as original as possible. It had two large dents, several deep scratches to the metal and several surface rust spots so that's the reason for the partial resto. And the rubber seals were all original and were cracked and worn so I am replacing all the seals. I would like to have it finished before the VW Classic show next month. We will see. :)

yea, about that dent on the back when i noticed that you had fixed it on myspace i realized that i have two rear fenders that appear to be exactly like yours. oh well, looks like you fixed it.
