As most of our members are, were, or work for the military...

Sometimes our meetings are hard to pin down, and sometimes tough to get to. They have changed locations a couple of times.

But be aware, we are a small but tough group.

Originally there were but a few - Myself, Steve, Kermit, Jeremiah and Rick.
But we grew, there are a few old dubs floating around this place.
We were a strongly technical minded crew. Between the bunch of us, there wasn't much we didn't know or did with VW's. Typical ownership in the chapter was, and is type 1's. But Ira's got a beautiful micro bus and a type 3 fastback or two always floating around. luis is running a pretty baby blue type 2 as well!

For some time, I owned half of rick's car, and he mine... If a part was needed to keep a car running, it was handed over. That's the way we operate in the KAC. You will never see me, or kermit, or ira pass up an aircooler broke down on the road.

As of late, the iraqi freedom operation has dwindled down participation quite a bit. It took me away for two years, as well as others of our group.

But we are still here.

So where can you find us?

Meetings are held at 6:30PM, or 18:30- on the second saturdays of every month at the -

SECOND TO NONE TATTOO shop on 195. (Ft Hood Rd.)

Located across from Kmart, it's just off of I 190. Take the Ft. Hood Rd exit, hang a right at the light, and travel about 500 feet on 195. Second to none is on the right hand side, in the middle of the parking lot.

Our meeting was changed to this location to coincide with a local car/hot rod night to spice up both group's meets. We get to check out some old hot rods, and bikes, they get to check out some old dubs! Great trade off.
And, if you feel the need for ink... You're in the right spot!

So, feel free to come find us, and hang out.
Barring any issues with my now civillian job, I'll be there every time.

If you want any more information, or just wanna talk bugs...

See you on the road.:D
