hello. Im very new to VWs. I found it here in Dallas on thesamba.com. lol dont know why i bought it but Im so freakin happy I did. I bought my project 66 Bug this March and as far as i know it has a 4" narrowed beam with what i think are ghia spindles and disc brakes? not too sure. wide five lug bolt pattern in rear and four in front. how can this be fixed? any adapters? and a stock 1500cc motor with a stock 31pict. The damn little thing has got some punch to it more so than i thought it would have for something so small. Ive slowly been reading my chilton manual and putting it together. I installed new windshield and window seals all around. installed a set of pop outs. The body is in great shape. Its 4 different shades of primer. Its now pretty much ready aside from getting a title and tags. interior is bare bones with nothing but two seats in it. Not too concerned about cosmetic as i am performance so i'll be rollin with no int. besides a good stereo. :) its a whole other world ive been missing. So stoked about performance mods. I cant wait to start hot rodding! which leads to a question... What can be done to a stock 1500cc motor? Definately want the dual carbs. what can be done with stock heads? Looking foward to making friends and sharing the passion and rollin to meets. Peace
