O.k. then... I dig Classic Air-Coolers. I am the proud owner of a 1966 Type 1. We journeyed from AZ. to TX. together in two days. I bought it from a cat out in Phoenix. He is my daily driver, a stock 1300. Not really into the high-tech fancy stuff. Shoot, I still run a 6 volt. AM radio suits me fine... once I get the speaker replaced. Eventually I'd like to afford a 1957 Oval, that's my target. I really dig Volkswagens man. It feels good to be part of this wicked sub-culture. I look forward to meeting you cats out on the streets. Not for racing, but cruizin' it would be just right.

Peace.

Last four-inch speakers I found at Wally Mart had a center tweeter. I haven't seen single cone speakers in awhile.... good hunting on that.

Nice to see ya, welcome.

Check with CarToys for the speaker. I had the speakers replaced in my Vanagon from there.

Yea welcome..

I seen a home stereo catalog that carried every part under the sun to build any home setup. The had hundreds of speakers and would be a good resource. I need to remember names of things before I post.
