In case you all missed the post in the "Austin, TX" events board (http://www.aircoolers.org/v/showthread.php?t=19), the Texas Volks Blast will be held in Temple, TX on Sunday May 6, 2007.
Here are just a few of the things that we have planned:
Volkswagen Car Show -- plaques awarded to the top 25 entries; only $10 to enter
Swap Meet -- buy and sell used VW parts; only $10 for a swap space
VW Drag Racing (9 second Pro Stocks, Bracket & Street classes) Payouts of up to $2500 for class winners.
Event coverage by Hot VW's magazine staff.
Free camping at the track the night before the event.
Fun activities for the whole family.

BTW, here's a copy of the event flyer. This same artwork will be printed on t-shirts that will available for purchase at the Texas Volks Blast, as well as on the awards plaques that will be given away.
