Super Extended Bus???

Saw this bus today in Temple at a repair shop. Looks like it is currently being built. Longest stretch I have ever seen. Whoever did it has done a really nice job.

What type of motor are they running, mine barely runs with one 1600CC.

Looking at the tail lights, it's at least a 72 or later which would make it a type 4 pancake engine. anywhere from a 1700 cc to a 2000 cc.

I think the bus is awsome somebody thinking out side the box. Hell you got to be a little bit crazy to drive a vintage vw these days. I hope he lays that thing out.

Here is another picture I got of the inside. So far it looks like a stock engine back there. He is far from done so who knows what will end up in there.

At least it was a BAY window bus. Although one day they will be as sought after as a Split or Oval .I dont think it will keep a clutch for long .:)

Wow can you imagine the length of the shift rod.....?? it will stop fine with disk front... i think the problem would be gettin it to turn.....:confused:
