Maybe you can revive El Paso then. It seems they dropped off the map.

Plus - you'll be close to Arizona -- Their seems to be a ton a VW action out there.. Phoenix CL kills it daily with good deals..

when i used to live in el paso, almost all our VWs came from phoenix and albuquerque.

my old man is in el paso, and MIGHT be getting rid of a 71 squareback to further his bay window bus project.... PM me when you get up there.

lots of aircoolers in el paso...just not a lot ones that communicate. lol. shouldnt be too hard to find some people to roll with...

I lived in El Paso when I was in the 1st of the 3rd Armored Calvary Regiment
For the Army. Have gone back a couple of times. I love the city. Hope you
have some great times out there.

Eyounger that was a while back, I was with F Troop 2/3 ACR back in the late 80's, I was stationed there just for a year before moving to germany. I found a place on Meas dr near the sunbowl that area sure has gotten busy that hole street just full of small businesses

I was on base quartered but used to ride just to explore the city. I left El Paso,
and the Army in 84. Did you ever go to the "2 for1" ? Spent a LOT of beer cash
in that joint.
